As a Kenyan from Mwandogo, where my family still lives, I always come across many hopeless, hungry children who live on the streets. In the hinterland from Mwandogo, these children are often taken in by other families, but they still have fewer chances in life. I know that I want to do everything I can, to give them a gleam of hope for their lives. Since my home village with the children, women and men is very important to me, I would like to be the first to work here and above all to give these children more education. At Chanzo, I am also motivated to work with others. It is really great to see the other volunteers working for my country!
For several years now, my personal engagement has been characterized by the fight against FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) as well as forced and early marriage of our girls. My intention is to make women strong and to convince the traditionalists of a new way in a joint discussion.
